Entering 2026, China's construction machinery industry is undergoing profound changes driven by both tightening environmental policies and accelerated technological transformation. Recently, several major cities, including Chengdu and Zhengzhou, have successively implemented new environmental regulations for non-road mobile machinery. At the same time, intelligent equipment such as driverless excavators are being put into practical application. These changes are placing higher demands on the reliability, durability, and adaptability of the core walking components of construction machinery—the "four wheels and one track"—from the source.

New Environmental Regulations Implemented in Multiple Regions Highlight Demand for Repair and Upgrades of Older Equipment
Since January 1, 2026, Chengdu has officially banned the use of non-road mobile machinery (including excavators and bulldozers) with emission standards of National I or below within its entire administrative area. Similarly, Zhengzhou has also designated high-emission machinery prohibited zones at the same time.
Industry experts analyze that this move will directly have two impacts: first, it will accelerate the replacement and upgrading of existing high-emission older equipment; second, it will prompt a large number of still-in-service equipment approaching the threshold to improve their overall condition through enhanced maintenance and replacement of high-performance core components, thereby extending their compliant service life. Among these, the replacement and upgrade demand for chassis components such as track assemblies, track rollers, and idler wheels, which are the core load-bearing components of the equipment, will be released first.
